The objective of the Adventure Tourism Market Research Officer will be to conduct an analysis on current and future tourism programs at Ethiopia's Catering and Tourism Training Institute (CTTI). By performing a labour market information analysis, SWOT analysis, and establishing connections with the private sector, the intern will support the growth in CTTI programs areas that are closely aligned with industry demand.
The Adventure Tourism Market Research Officer will work with CTTI staff to: Collect and analyse data on adventure / outdoor tourism in Ethiopia through a literature review, case study review, quantitative and qualitative research, field visits, etc. with a view to identifying existing and potential skills gaps, and training opportunities; Develop proposals for new CTTI courses and programs in adventure / outdoor tourism, including by developing a business case for such proposals; and, Research possible funding sources for new CTTI courses and programs in adventure / outdoor tourism.
