Farm Africa’s mission is to reduce poverty permanently by unleashing African farmers’ abilities to grow their incomes and manage their natural resources sustainably. To deliver our mission effectively, we need to ensure that our programme management and implementation are exemplary. The Programme Support Team, headed by this role, provides support to our country teams, based in Nairobi, Addis Ababa and Dar es Salaam on compliance and delivery of the programme cycle. The Head of Programme Support will combine direct programme support on some areas of the portfolio with oversight of the wider support function, as well as strategic guidance and encouraging best practice in programme delivery. Based in one of our three African hub offices, he/ she will be expected to travel extensively in the region, and occasionally to London.
Reporting to the Director of Programmes, and working closely with Country Directors and their senior management teams, Head of Programme Quality and Impact, and the Programme Funding team**,**the Head of Programme Support will provide high level programme implementation support and strategic operational guidance for Farm Africa’s programme.
