In partnership with SIDA and other international organisations, Oxfam in Mozambique is working on a programme entitled Mozambican Civil Society - Programme of Action for Inclusive and Responsible Governance (AGIR). In line with Oxfam’s global programme direction, the overall objective of the programme is “A Mozambican society where its citizens, particularly also women and other presently marginalized groups, fully enjoy their rights to social inclusion and gender equity, to retribution of wealth created from the country’s patrimony, to accessible and affordable publ ic services of good quality, to basic civil freedoms and to political representation and participation; in a peaceful and ecologically sustainable environment”.
In summary you will:
Lead the implementation and monitoring of the AGIR program ensuring compliance with donor requirements, Oxfam’s thematic program strategy and programme quality standards.
Manage the design, development, planning, budgeting, and implementation and monitoring of all Program activities in collaboration with the programme team and partners.
Provide guidance and coaching to staff and partners in a manner that transforms and motivates them through idealized influence and intellectual stimulation.
Ensure that Oxfam’s participation on the key coordination platforms of the programme is fully informed and contributes to the direction of the broader programme at national level.
You will have:
A master’s level qualification in any social science area.
Demonstrable experience and success in engaging and collaborating with civil society movements in national and local advocacy processes.
Strong networking and negotiation skills,
Familiarity with government decision-making processes,
Transformational Leaderships skills,
Ability to inspire, mentor, challenge, empower, stimulate and nurture staff to become high performers.
Fluency in written and spoken English, and fluency in Portuguese.
