Information and Reporting Officer
Background: DAI is an international consulting firm headquartered in the United States with branch offices in Mozambique. DAI is accepting CVs from candidates for an Information and Reporting Officer for the USAID Office of Transitions Initiatives (OTI)-funded Mozambique program.
Position: The Information and Reporting Officer will report to the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist (MELS), and will manage project information and communication needs for the program’s main office in Maputo, Mozambique. This is a local hire position and applicants must have the legal right to work in Mozambique.
Responsibilities: The Information and Reporting Officer will:
Work with Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team and Program Development Officers to collect information on program achievements and develop associated narrative for communication within the project, and to the client.
Lead knowledge management and coordination for the office.
Conduct field visits to observe and report on activities.
Use information in Activity Database and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning reports to compile quick results reporting on program status and impact, including press releases and success stories.
Responsible for producing reporting deliverables, including a quarterly report, annual report, bi-weekly report, and other reporting deliverables in mixed media as assigned.
Provide guidance and support to work under media objectives, including activity development and local partner engagement.
Draft social media and information outreach materials including posting on Twitter, Facebook and other sites if/as requested by USAID/OTI and the Chief of Party.
Monitor, engage and post content on social media outlets on behalf of the program.
As directed by the Chief of Party, establish and manage the program’s online and social media presence.
Assist in translating M&E findings into success stories and other learning products.
Other duties assigned by the Chief of Party and/or the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist that are consistent with the overall focus of the assignment.
Qualifications:
University degree in political science, communications, business administration, or related field.
Minimum three years of professional experience in communications or another related field.
Relevant experience working in media, civil society, government, or donor-funded project management preferred.
Experience with USAID programming strongly preferred.
Strong photography skills and social media capabilities required, including photography portfolio (physical or virtual) and social media portfolio.
Graphic design skills desirable.
Strong computer skills (MS Office suite) required.
Experience with grants or small grants under contract programs preferred.
Proficiency in one of the local languages of Cabo Delgado, such as Mwani, Makua, Makonde, or Swahili highly desired.
English and Portuguese language fluency required
