Consumer Commodity Management Expert. The Mitchell Group (TMG), an international development consulting firm based in Washington, DC, is currently seeking applications from qualified Commodity Management Expert candidates to propose for a Food for Peace study on Somali regional commodities, an activity for USAID in Ethiopia. To note, this opportunity is in the proposal stage and will be considered for the proposal stage and successful award of the contract.
Required Skills and Experience:
The Consumer Commodity Management Expert will be responsible for various data collection and analytical works as directed by the Team Leader. The expert will be for planning, managing, and supervising the commodity review. S/he serves as a key member of the Consumer Commodity Preference Study Team.
The candidate must meet the following criteria:
● B.Sc. or master’s degree in a social science discipline such as Accounting and Finance, Business Administration or another field relevant to Consumer Commodity Review and Assessment;
● Five years of experience with data collection procedures, surveys, and analysis and interpretation of databases and managing the logistics of Evaluation, Assessments and Reviews;
● Experience in overseeing field supervisors and enumerators; coordinating field logistics, schedules, and equipment; and managing the data collection and data quality control in the field; and
● Good communication skills and the ability to interact with Ethiopians and expatriates, and fluent in the regional languages, Oromiffa and Somalie.
