Audacious AIR Trial Coordinator, Audacious Ideas
2 year Fixed Term Contract
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Salary: USD $55,000-$72,000 depending upon experience
Sightsavers has an exciting opportunity for an Audacious AIR (Azithromycin Impact Research) Trial Coordinator who will work closely with other members of the Audacious Ideas programme to ensure the overall success of the Audacious Ideas programme in Sightsavers in Africa. You will be responsible for supervising the implementation of the full suite of SAFE strategies (Surgeries, Antibiotics, Facial Cleanliness, Environmental Improvement), whilst at the same time coordinating with the AIR Project Director on implementation of research on trachoma and infant mortality.
We are looking for an Audacious AIR Trial Coordinator who will coordinate all aspects of the programme relating to country coordination to ensure timely implementation of programme activities. This involves having oversight of the programme operations in each country and synchronising high level planning and implementation activities which will include:
· Aligning the technical and operation aspects of the programme
· Coordinating financial management, budgeting and reporting
· Supporting key relationships with stakeholders
· Coordinating the delivery of regular project reporting
· Ensuring that standardised protocols are created, shared and utilised
· Supporting communication initiatives
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline and have significant experience and/ or qualifications in programme/ project management in the private, humanitarian or development sectors. You should also have experience of sharing and capturing good practice with the ability to identify key risks, problem solve and rapidly escalate critical issues. Strong analytical and IT skills are also required for the review and development of programme budgets, plans and forecasts.
