Knowledge Manager - Inovagro
Innovation for Agribusiness (InovAgro) is a pro-poor private sector development project funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The project aims to increase household incomes of 30,000 smallholder farmers through their improved participation and integration in agribusiness value chains.
The purpose of this position is to facilitate the coordination / implementation of the project knowledge management activities particularly the documentation and dissemination of the main learning generated through the project interventions to improve stakeholder understanding (and appreciation) of market systems development as an approach.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Working closely with the InovAgro Senior Management Team (SMT) develop and implement the InovAgro project knowledge management strategy including systems for capturing, organising and disseminating learning from the project to all stakeholders.
- Manage knowledge sharing events including seminars/webinars, workshops, conferences, and peer learning sessions.
- Manage the project website to ensure that the right learning is disseminated to the right stakeholders at the right time (and in the right way).
- Engage partners and related learning champions to expand online/in-person knowledge learning activities and collaborations with external partners and contributing content to relevant knowledge dissemination platforms.
- Working with the project Monitoring and Results Measurement Manager, create and implement effective project tools for evaluating, assessing and communicating the impact of the project work.
- Working closely with the InovAgro Senior Management Team (SMT) , lead the process of managing knowledge coming into InovAgro (external case studies, webinars, etc.) relevant to the sectors and strategies InovAgro works in.
- Working closely with the InovAgro Senior Management Team (SMT) , lead the process of managing knowledge within InovAgro (maintain an InovAgro knowledge library).
- Lead the process of managing knowledge going out of InovAgro (case studies, research, and presentations at fora).
- Through training, coaching and related technical backstopping to the project facilitation team, implement a capacity building program to embed best-practice approaches to information and knowledge management in all areas of the project interventions.
- Commission and develop high quality written materials for InovAgro external stakeholders to understand the programme (flyer), organization & process (more detailed brochure) and interventions (sector strategies & intervention factsheets).
- Commission and develop case studies and related learning publications from the project interventions to inform future agribusiness policies and project / partner development activities.
- Develop systems and processes which enable the project facilitation team and stakeholders to easily access and use project data, learning and evidence of impact to improve existing practice in Market Systems Development and to inform project decision making processes, sector policy development and related initiatives to improve the enabling environment for the agribusiness industry in Mozambique.

Experience
- Analytical with some experience in knowledge management and organisational learning.
- Experience in data capture and analysis, in evaluating and assessing project impact and in using learning and evidence from data to improve project capacity and practice, to inform policy development, business planning, service delivery and future developments.
- Evidence of being able to build effective and sustainable relationships internally and externally including with the media.
Skills
- Ability to develop knowledge management systems and building organisational / project learning.
- Expertise in deriving insight and using knowledge from data collected and analysed in decision making, planning, cross organisational and external activities.
- Understanding of how-to visualise / present data and learning for different uses and audiences
