Malaria Consortium is leading a consortia of NGOs in the Strengthening Quality of Malaria Diagnosis and Treatment in Ethiopia, a five-year USAID-funded program whose overall objective is to improve the quality of malaria diagnosis and treatment services to 85% from baseline in project supported facilities including: strengthening partnerships and coordination at national and regional levels, strengthening and scaling up quality assurance systems for malaria diagnosis and treatment, improve infrastructures and human resource capacity for malaria diagnosis and case management, enhancing program learning and operational research to impact policy and programming related to malaria case management.

The Chief of Party will provide overall responsibility for coordination for all project activities and staff. S/he will be responsible for technical leadership and administrative oversight for the project, ensuring achievement of project deliverables. The CoP will be the primary liaison with USAID, government and implementing partners to ensure compliance.

Essential criteria:

  • A MD and a MPH
  • Substantial experience working in public health at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated management experience leading large USAID-funded projects.

This position is dependent on Malaria Consortium securing a forthcoming grand.
